About Our Soaps

1. What makes Satori soaps different?

Satori soaps are handcrafted using the cold-process method, with plant-based oils, botanicals, clays with focus on quality, integrity and care.

2. What is cold-process soap?

Cold-process soap is made by combining oils and butters with a lye solution. The soap is then left to cure over several weeks, allowing it to become firmer and more suitable for use.

3. Are Satori soaps suitable for all skin types?

Our soaps are crafted using quality oils that form the very foundation of a cold-process soap bar. This makes them gentle and suitable for all skin types, including face.

However, every skin is different, individual preferences and sensitivities can vary. We recommend reviewing the ingredients listed for each soap and performing a patch test before regular use. Discontinue use if irritation occurs.

4. Do your soaps contain synthetic fragrances?

We use essential oils in most of our soaps. Occasionally, to complement a particular theme, we use high quality fragrance oils which are skin safe and phthalate free.

Please also keep in mind that our soaps are different from commercially available soaps. The scents from our essential oils and fragrance oils are not intended to leave a strong lingering fragrance on the skin. Instead, they offer a pleasant aromatic experience with every shower.

5. How should I store my soap?

Keep your soap in a well-drained soap dish between uses, away from standing water. Allowing it to dry between uses helps the bar last longer.

6. Are your products tested on animals?

Our products are not tested on animals. Our care extends beyond our customers to the world around us and all forms of life.

7. Why does the soap I saw on your website look different from the one I received?

Our soaps are handmade and poured in small batches. Each swirl, each layer may come out differently even among soaps made in the same batch and that is the beauty of handmade products. Those imperfections tell you that these are carefully crafted and not mass produced.

You may also occasionally notice a whitish powder on the surface of a soap bar. This is called soda ash. It can form during the soap-making process and does not affect the quality of the soap.

8. Is your packaging plastic free?

Yes! We use plastic free packaging material. We also believe in avoiding unnecessary packaging simply to make a product look attractive. Our soaps speak for themselves. We re-use packing material that we receive at our end making sure it is perfectly fit to go on another journey.

9. How can I place an order?

10. How long will my order take to arrive?

Delivery times depend on your location and the shipping service. Your order confirmation and shipping updates will provide the relevant details.

11. Do you offer free shipping?

We offer free shipping on orders above ₹999.

12. Can I cancel or modify my order?

Due to the nature of our products, we generally do not offer cancellations/ modifications unless they are made within 24 hours of placing an order. Once an order has been dispatched, no cancellation or modification is possible.

13. Do you accept custom orders?

14. How much time do custom orders require?

Custom orders require approximately 4–6 weeks for completion from the finalisation of your requirements. We recommend planning ahead, especially for special occasions.

15. Can I order soaps as return gifts or favours?

Yes. Get in touch with your occasion, preferred quantity, and any preferences you have in mind. We’ll discuss the available options with you.
